I’m really pleased with how this turned out!!! It’s almost all composed with the Paisleys and Posies suite except for the leaves and the festive flower builder punch. I’m going to briefly leave off Thanksgiving cards for my next few posts just because I’m excited about some of my Christmas sets and have made some cards with them, plus I made a super easy but elegant all occasions friendship card this weekend I’m excited to show and that basically covers this week. So stay tuned for a fun week. Hint: expect some mice to invade my page!!!!
I’m truly not knowing where to start explaining this card it combines a lot of different elements from the holiday catalog and the annual catalog including some Halloween stuff I bought to make Thanksgiving cards, which I have decided to do a few days or weeks of. From the holiday catalog I used the Paisleys and Posies stamp set and coordinating DSP on the maple leaf and the sentiment. And some Halloween stuff like the Pumpkin Pie glimmer paper on the oak leaf and the back matte, the Halloween night Specialty DSP for the background and a few of the Halloween night enamel dots to embellish. I also used the gold Bakers Twine from the Bakers Twine trio which is part of the Festive Season Suite also for embellishment. From the annual catalog came the main feature of this card the Leaflets framelits and a stamp from the Vintage Leaves set. Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock and finally the ink is Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive. It sounds complicated but was actually an easy card to make.
I made this box as a thank you gift for a friend. I’m not going to talk to much about how I made it except to say the box itself was made using the envelope punch and inside is a collection of various greeting cards and envelopes. I made the vast majority of the box with retired Stampin’Up! product and completely non Stampin’Up! product. Now to a Stampin’Up! purest this is considered blasphemous. I did it to make a point. If you’re afraid that Stampin’Up! product means not being able to use all the products you already have think again. I find Stampin’Up! products harmonize completely with other products I also love. The non Stampin’Up! product in this one is both alcohol ink markers and pearled pigment powder. The current Stampin’Up!product is the envelope punch board, the leaflets framelits, the vintage leaves stamp set, Versamark and momento ink and all the card stock used to make the leaves and sentiment. Everything else is retired and includes the card stock for the box, and the stamp set for the central leaf and the sentiment. Hope I have enlightened you to the possibilities!!!
