This card is made with a lot of retired stuff like the tree punch and the stamps used. But everything else is still available. I used both the This Christmas and Warmth & Cheer DSP as well as the card stock and ink in Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green. Finally I embellished it with enamel shapes. It’s a fairly simple and easy to make card and I really love the monotone idea!
For this Christmas card I combined the peaceful pines bundle with the starlight dies. The tree is actually the sentiment. I also used This Christmas DSP and Copper foil. The basics I used were Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Garden Green card stock and Garden Green ink.
Ok it’s back to Christmas! There are really not a lot of day’s until Christmas! So I got my Merry Mice set out to start back at it on a super fun and happy note. I used two pieces of the This Christmas DSP put it facing one way for the front and reversed it for the matte. I also used garden green and very vanilla for card stock. Basic Black Archival ink for the mouse and Stampin’ Write markers to colour. Then garden green ink for the sentiment and to complete the look Candy Cane Lane DWT for behind the sentiment. Tomorrow my new order is going in and I’ve planned some fun projects for when that arrives!!! That includes a bit of non Christmas stuff so for those of you who don’t understand why Christmas starts in July for crafters I’m going to provide some non holiday related stuff once my order arrives. Wish me luck customs has been delaying my shipments a bit lately they are very concerned about stamps of mass destruction. And if you could see the disaster of my studio you would actually probably agree customs has a point there! Lol!!!!
The next three days I will be featuring my newest stamp set from the 2016 Holiday Catalog: Merry Mice. These are really fun as I get to colour with my Stampin Write markers. I used the retired dies Oval Framelits because I haven’t yet bought the new Oval dies which are nice because they replace having to buy a whole bunch of oval punches. So I do plan on getting it. Meanwhile I make do. The background is from the This Christmas DSP the whole card base is watermelon wonder card stock and its embellished with Wild Wasabi enamel shapes. Merry Christmouse yeah I know it’s September but I’m chomping at the bit to be able to give out all my Christmas cards.
Let the sneak peeks begin. Yes I got my first order from the 2016 Holiday Catalog. My first project is from the Star of light bundle which comes with both the stamp set and the dies. I also used copper foil sheets also from the new catalog. The ink I used was Early Expresso and the card stock was Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Early Expresso and Tempting Turquoise. I also used a piece of the This Christmas DSP as sheet music. I’m so happy to have copper as a great new option from Stampin’Up!
