I’ve got another event to announce. I’m having a birthday stamp a stack party!!! No it’s not my birthday Yes I’m too old for parties! But I’m working on 3 birthday cards we can gather together and produce 3 of each. That’s 9 birthday cards you can give to family and friends. Here is the first of the 3. The date is Saturday March 18th from 2-4pm. The cost is $20 but with a $25 or more purchase before shipping and tax I will refund half. There will be cake and refreshments and we will have a blast. Book your space ahead as I need to know how many are coming. It will be at my home in North Vancouver BC Canada. Message me for details. Also if you want to do this and the date doesn’t work for you message me and I can arrange to throw a party for you and your friends.
Today I’m posting a 3D project! The original project of these treat boxes was by Rhonda Wade, except for the colour theme and the heart box is pretty well the same, all the others I really mucked around with and came up with my own thing. It’s all punch and die work and I had a lot of fun making them.
Ok time for new Sale-a-bration items!!! This uses both the Make a Medallion stamp set and the Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack in Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum. The inks are Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry and the card stock is Bermuda Bay, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White. I also used the Sweet and Sassy Heart Framelits.
I’m starting a Stamp Club soon and if you’re in the Vancouver-ish lower mainland area of BC Canada and want to be a part of this fun group no pressure to purchase let me know and we can add you. I already have one member who I’m very thankful for. Right now I’m offering a free card tin to my first two members. A little something to keep your cards in there is still one unspoken for.
I put the stamp set High Tide together with the DSP stack Cupcakes and Carousels. I used inks in the colours Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise for the water, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand for the Sand, Calypso Coral and Early Expresso along with a So Saffron Stampin Write Marker for the lighthouse and for the birds and sentiment I used Early Expresso. I must say I was delighted with the Tombow Multi Purpose Liquid Glue to attach my light house image to the DSP. It gave me enough time to move the image into the perfect position but became permanent in a fast enough time. I’m definitely sold on this glue and it’s not overly water based so did very little warpage on the paper. Most good non water based glues have very noxious fumes but I do not find this with the Tombow and trust me I’m usually very sensitive to some glues fumes.
This is all from the Cupcakes and carousels suite: the stamp set, the DSP stack and the embellishment kit. I also used watercolour Paper, Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay card stock. The ink pads were archival Basic black and peekaboo peach and its coloured with Stampin Write Markers. I love that this suite comes with an embellishment kit rather than each Embellishment sold separate. It made it more affordable to have a bit of everything instead of paying for each Embellishment separately. Carousels have such happy feelings about them. I’m in love with this suite.
This birthday card was made with the stamp sets Flower Patch and Watercolour Wings. I love the sentiment, it has a little tongue in cheek. The card stock is Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Melon Mambo and Whisper White for the butterfly. Inks are Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry for the flowers and sentiment and Soft Sky, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for the butterfly. Finally I embellished with Pool Party Enamel Shapes.
This is for my other Sister who is in love with glitz! Can you tell I have a lot of birthdays in March. This uses the Birthday Blast bundle which consists of a stamp set and dies. The background is Sweet Sugarplum Glimmer paper which is one of the upcoming Sale-a-bration items and there are 3 colours included. I also used gold foil paper. The card stock is Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry and the ink is Rich Razzleberry. I used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the first time to adhere everything and although I did have a few adhesive messes they are much improved over what I’m used to with other adhesives. I would give it a thumbs up I just need to practice more with it.
This is what happens when that one wild rider in your life just happens to be your sister! Yes I used melon mambo ink and card stock and Rich Razzleberry card stock. I also used a sheet of silver foil paper embossed with the sparkle TIEF. It’s hard to tell from this picture but the banner is raised a bit with Stampin Dimensionals. It’s actually a birthday card with the birthday sentiment on the inside but really could be used for any occasion or no occasion. Even though I will probably only use this set once for my sister I’m glad I got it as you can tell it works well for masculine cards and I never have enough masculine sets. The stamp set is, you guessed it, One Wild Ride.
Ok this one may look a bit familiar but it is slightly different from the one I created last month. I changed the colours and to “watercolour” my lady from Beautiful You I used the watercolour pencils, instead of ink, with the blender pens. I didn’t have the same palette available to me with the watercolour pencils so I changed it up. This one to me is a lot warmer. The colours are Real Red, Calypso Coral, Watermelon Wonder, Early Expresso, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Pool Party and Blushing Bride. Have fun with your inks and try different colour schemes with your cards. It’s a lot of fun!
I finally did it. I have been wanting to make this mechanical card for a while and admit I had to turn to Pinterest to learn how. It magically twists and turns as you open it. It uses several bundles, stamp sets and the Falling in Love suite. The bundles were So in Love and Dragonfly Dreams and the stamp set is Touches of Texture. The base colour is Flirty Flamingo. It’s such a fun idea. I can hardly wait for the middle of March when a close friend has her birthday! 💜
