Ok what can I say I just love this crazy chicken. This is stamped entirely with my free Sale-a-bration set Hey, Chick! I also used the new Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. I also used Basic Black Archival ink with Stampin Write markers, Smoky Slate and Cajun Craze ink. The card stock is Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Cajun Craze. My guess is these chickens will be making several guest appearances. Free sale-a-bration will start on January 4, 2017 and continue until the end of March.
Love sparkles reminds me a bit of street art so I decided to make a bit of a graffiti look card. It’s a stamp set which speaks differently to different people. Some say it reminds them of sparklers. I made the background stamping multiple times with multiple colours of Succulents from the stamp set Oh So Succulent sprayed with water then when I was satisfied it had bled enough I used my heat tool to dry completely. I then used Momento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp on the Love Sparkles images and voila I had a thank you card. I then mounted it on some slightly off set melon mambo and Bermuda bay card stock and finally whisper white thick card stock as a card base. This is from the 2017 Occasions catalog which will be available to customers starting January 4, 2017.
From the new 2017 Occasions catalog I present to you my favourite cards so far. I used the Dragonfly Dreams bundle and from the Annual catalog the Serine Scenes DSP. I cut the dragonflies and bees out of watercolour paper which I painted with the new watercolour pencils on watercolour paper and stamped. The bees I stamped first with Basic Black Archival ink then watercolour painted and the dragonflies I painted first then when surface dry I stamped one with Early Expresso ink let the colours set and then whilst still damp cut and moulded with my fingers into shape. The rest of the card is stamped with Early Expresso. Both used Early Expresso card stock and one uses Cajun Craze the other Delightful Dijon card stock. The bees were then embellished with Sending Love Embellishments. I’m just loving the fact the new catalog has introduced watercolour pencils. The catalog is available to customers January 4, 2017.
I’m taking a refreshing break from the seasonal catalogs and showing a nice little bundle from the Annual catalog. Here I used the Bunch of blossoms bundle. It comes with the stamps by the same name and the blossom builder punch. I also used the blooms and Bliss DSP. The ink used is Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz The card stock is Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum and Pear Pizzazz. Finally its embellished with Sweet Sugarplum enamel shapes in hearts. With the weather we have been having it’s a nice escape to spring.
Seriously I’m overwhelmed! I’ve been making Christmas cards since July and I have officially stopped for this year. Now comes the monumental task of deciding who gets what and writing cards and envelopes and for the ones which go in the mail addressing and appropriately adding postage stamps and deciding what has to be posted when. I only have two more to be posted online and I will try and spread them out between now and Christmas! Gulp! I guess I’d better get to it!
Ok today it’s Christmas card time. This features the Greetings from Santa bundle which includes the stamp set by the same name and the detailed Santa thinlits. The colours are simple Very Vanilla, Flirty Flamingo and Real Red card stock and Real Red ink. Pretty quick and simple!
I did this card to play with a macrame hanging basket idea which was shown at On Stage local here in Vancouver BC Canada. I couldn’t remember exactly how but I remembered the gist of it. I used the stamp set Oh So Succulent as well as the Hardwood background stamp. The main colours are Crumb Cake and Sahara Sands. The other colours used on the Succulents are a multitude but Succulents are so colourful you can really choose whatever comes to mind. The sentiment is Rich Razzleberry. I didn’t think I would like this stamp set but I got it free at the event and after playing with it I’ve fallen in love with it. This card makes me think of a California beach house in the 70’s.
I’m going to be alternating between some Christmas and some 2017 Occasions catalog ideas and fade out Christmas and concentrate on Occasions catalog and Annual catalog. I’m sorry about that but us crafters are always ahead of the season especially since us lucky ones who went to On Stage got a head start on Spring ideas. To keep it simple this card is made from the Perfect Pines thinlits, Warmth and Cheer DWT and Christmas Pines stamp set. The colour scheme is Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and a touch of Crumb Cake. I’ve been working on Christmas cards since July and Spring is a welcome change!
Ok it’s past 12pm PST on Monday I do believe it’s time to let the sneak peeks begin!!! Welcome to the 2017 Occasions catalog!!!!! This is done with the Swan Lake stamp set on watercolour paper and coloured with the new watercolour pencils and then painted well I used a watercolour brush but you would probably use the aqua painter. It’s all painted on watercolour paper and just so you know if you use watercolour paper yes you can colour more on the wet paper but that probably doesn’t include other types of paper. Yes there is probably no such thing as a pink swan but I’m a contemporary impressionist and in my world there doesn’t have to be such a thing. Card stock is Melon Mambo, Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and for the card base enough Whisper White thick to make a 5″ x 7″ card base. Ink is Basic Black Archival and Rich Razzleberry. The ovals are cut with the retired Ovals Framelits. So glad I got the watercolour pencils as they’re so much fun and perfect for this stamp set.
I used the DSP and DWT from Candy Cane Lane and Stamps from Merry Mice and Paisleys and Posies to make my own gingerbread house card! I can’t begin to describe the process behind this one. Just let my imagination go! I won’t be posting over the weekend as I will be at On Stage live and will be getting the first peeks at the Spring catalog and Sale-a-bration brochure which won’t be available to non demonstrators until January! I’m extremely excited but can’t share anything until Stampin’ Up! gives us the go ahead and let the sneak peeks begin. So until Monday have a nice weekend!
